Product Description

Colourland Micaceous Iron Oxide Metal Protective paint, is a highly durable protective coating based on Micaceous Iron Oxide, an extremely hard lamellar pigment. This high performance coating is resistant to mild
chemical fume attack, atmospheric pollution, and high humidity. It may be overcoated with alkyd based finish or left uncoated. Ideal for steel structures painting. Highly recommended for steel structure buildings that are close to seaside or warehouses that are used to store corrosive materials like Fertiliser Plant or Warehouse.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    Metal surface must be dry and free from grease, dirt and other contaminants. Steel surfaces should be sanded or wire brushed to remove mill scales and rust. For best result steel surfaces should be prepared by hand or power tool. Galvanised and Aluminium surfaces should be cleaned and degreased, apply an appropriate Etch Primer to ensure good adhesion.
  • 2. Cleaning
    Clean all equipment with white spirit immediately after use.
  • 3. Storing
    Store locked up|Store in a well-ventilated place|Keep cool
